Face of Freedom 2017

City Life Dundee were invited to Face of Freedom 2017 by Irving Miskell-Reid, the founder and inspiration behind the annual charity show that embraces fashion, music, fun and fabulous hair. Here’s a wee flavour of the show which this year raised funds for Help for Kids…

City Life caught up with Chris Duke, the Wave 102 breakfast radio show presenter and the host of Face of Freedom 2017…

“Helping out the Help for Kids charity is always great fun, this is my first year doing Face of Freedom and I loved it. I’ve got two kids of my own and we went through circumstances a few years ago when we needed that kind of help, so to be able to give back to kids that now need that help is important, I’ve no choice, I need to do it!”

We spoke with Irving Miskell-Reid to find out more about Face of Freedom…

“All I did is start this and instigate it but it’s everybody else that brings it together, everybody brings something to the party. From the youngest to the oldest, it is a family thing and it’s for families to help their kids. Face of Freedom is just a vehicle to get others involved, we raise money, we make friends, and it raises awareness for the charities involved. Everybody who gives their time, we can’t thank them enough.”

Irving’s message to Dundonians for 2018…

“Keep on supporting us however you do it, keep on coming along to the shows, the money works and helps all these kids and families.”
